Harvard Health names a CRP blood test, and says a level between 1 and 3 milligrams per liter often signals a low but chronic level. Cleveland Clinic says chronic inflammation symptoms are harder to spot than acute ones.</div></details><details><summary>What is the fastest way to lower inflammation?</summary><div class="acv-a">Harvard Health does not name a fast way. It names four: maintain a healthy weight, choose a good diet, get plenty of sleep, and exercise regularly. Diet and exercise have an especially strong effect because they also help weight and sleep.</div></details><details><summary>Should I take an anti inflammatory supplement?</summary><div class="acv-a">Neither Harvard Health nor Johns Hopkins builds its guidance around a supplement. Hopkins says overall healthy eating patterns are what experts recommend, and names food sources for omega-3 fats and vitamin C.</div></details><details><summary>Can I have inflammation without feeling anything?</summary><div class="acv-a">Yes. Cleveland Clinic says chronic inflammation can be harder to spot than acute inflammation, which announces itself with redness, swelling, pain and heat.</div></details><details><summary>Does being overweight actually cause inflammation?</summary><div class="acv-a">Harvard Health describes the mechanism. Visceral fat cells around the organs may be read as a threat by the immune system, which sends white blood cells to attack them. The longer that continues, the longer the inflammatory state lasts.</div></details><details><summary>Which foods should I cut first?</summary><div class="acv-a">Johns Hopkins names red meat, processed meat, commercial baked goods, bread and pasta made with white flour, deep fried food, foods high in added sugar and sugar sweetened drinks.</div></details></div><div class="acv-secondary">Wondering where you stand overall? <a href="/#assessment">Take the free 5-minute Healthspan Snapshot</a> and see your strongest and weakest of six dimensions.</div></div></div>
